Reliance Infrastructure net profit up 14 percent

Mumbai, July 26 (IANS) The Anil Ambani-promoted Reliance Infrastructure Ltd has announced a net profit of $59 million (Rs.2.53 billion) for the first quarter of 2008-09 compared to $51.77 million over the same period last year, a growth of 14 percent.

The total revenues during the period under review went up by 32 percent to $608 million from $462.68 million of the year-ago period.

The Anil Dhirubhai Ambani Group has a market capitalisation of over Rs.2.22 trillion.
